Abu Dhabi’s Airport Street has many names such as Airport Road, 2nd Street or its formal name Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum Street. It is the spine of Abu Dhabi’s real estate as the emirate is split down the middle by Airport Road and connects the entire capital together. Starting from the iconic Shaikh Zayed Mosque, the road meanders through the heart of Abu Dhabi city and reaches the Corniche area at the far end of the island.
As Aiport Road is an important part of Abu Dhabi and it is home to major commercial and residential properties. As it stretches across Abu Dhabi, residents of Airport Road are well connected to numerous amenities, attractions and facilities. Airport Road is also part of Downtown Abu Dhabi, which is also known to be Abu Dhabi’s city centre. This Abu Dhabi real estate corridor is a bustling collection of shops, high-street retail, hotels and restaurants. As for living on Airport Road, most of the properties are part of the high-rise residential towers. Airport Road is also home to a large expat population, this is mainly due to the affordable apartments, close proximity to business hubs, office spaces and the many amenities nearby.
Although nearly every other district in Abu Dhabi city branches off from the Airport Road, the stretch has a feel all its own. While many commercial towers are lining the long stretch of Airport Road, prominent office areas include Rawdhat, Al Odiad Office Tower and Al Hashimi Office Tower amongst others that offer office spaces catering to a range of commercial clients.
