Located southwest of Abu Dhabi, Mussafah, a dedicated economic zone, is a prominent area for industries and warehouses in Abu Dhabi. The district is located near the port the Mussafah Port is the second largest port in Abu Dhabi and the Mussafah Channel is the second largest in the world after the Suez Canal.
Mussafah Industrial City is one of the most important investment areas and a hub for industrial and warehousing in Abu Dhabi. It is located 30km from the Abu Dhabi City Centre and the Abu Dhabi International Airport; and 40 km from the Zayed Seaport (Port Zayed). The Mussafah Industrial area covers 14 km2 and is made up of six varieties of industrial zones based on their activities. The district has light manufacturing units, retail units, hotels, residential, staff accommodation and office spaces.
With its beginnings in the 1970s, Mussafah is one of the older areas for industrial units and warehouses in Abu Dhabi and has limited Grade A industrial stock and office spaces.
