Corporate Social Responsibility
01 Commitment
Cushman & Wakefield Core is conscious of our duty to enhance society, staff wellbeing, and the environment. With our keen sense of community welfare, we participate in annual charity sports events, donating all proceeds.
We encourage our staff to participate in community outreach programs, such as Ramadan meal distribution, global housing initiatives for the less fortunate, and environmental initiatives such as Earth Hour and The Ocean Cleanup Project.
We believe social responsibility is not only good for the community, but is also valuable for our own corporate culture, helping build stronger bonds between our employees and with the community’s we serve.
02 Credentials
03 Charity
At Cushman & Wakefield Core we believe our future relies on the health and wellbeing of our children and our environment. We have chosen to support three charities that we believe are having an impact in these two areas.
DUBAI CARESCushman & Wakefield Core’s assets are our people, who are chosen for their varied and specialized skill sets, local and international experience. For many, education is a human right and sometimes taken for granted, yet throughout the world, many still lack this fundamental opportunity to build a foundation and become positive contributors to society.
Since its inception, Dubai Cares – part of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Global Initiatives – has provided children and young people in developing countries with access to quality education. It designs and funds integrated, impactful, sustainable and scalable programmes. The UAE-based global philanthropic organisation has successfully launched education initiatives reaching over 18 million beneficiaries in 53 developing countries.
THORNThe Cushman & Wakefield Core family is growing continually. As it does, we increasingly understand the power of social media and online presence, as well as the dangers of the darker corners of the worldwide web.
Thorn works with leading technology partners who serve the organisation as ‘Technology Task Force’ members. The program’s goal includes developing technological barriers and initiatives to ensure the safety of children online and deter predators on the internet. Various corporate members of the task force include Meta, Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, Salesforce Foundation, Symantec and Twitter.
THE OCEAN CLEANUP PROJECTWith Dubai’s enviable coastal position and involvement in ‘ocean-breaking’ ventures, we recognise the significance of cleansing the planet’s oceans from manmade debris. This concern extends beyond real estate in the UAE, encompassing the larger global issue of protecting marine life and mitigating environmental pollution.
The Ocean Cleanup has developed the world’s first feasible method to rid the oceans of plastic. Instead of clearing plastic with vessels and nets, which would require an immense amount of time and resources, The Ocean Cleanup has created a passive drifting system which allows the ocean currents to concentrate the plastic itself. They estimate to be able to clean half the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (between Hawaii and California) within five years of full-scale deployment.
